Thomas Michael "Mike" Martin, age 63, passed away on March 20, 2020 at the Cabarrus County Hospice House in Kannapolis. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date. Mike was born in Covington, LA to the late Read Obituary

Officer Martin was my DARE officer at East Albemarle Elementary! I remember him well and he was loved by so many. A true legend lost. Many prayers for his family and loved ones!

I worked in the Clerk of Courts office and saw Mike many times when he had to come to court. He was so kind and positive. I'm sorry for your loss.
I only knew Mike for a short while, but it was obvious right away that he was a wonderful human being. I enjoyed our daily "Hellos" at work and the conversations that followed from time to time. He has already been missed at SCC since he took his leave of absence. We wish his family the best in this difficult time of grief.

The Law Enforcement Community has lost one of it's best..Mike was a people person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Mike, you were a Brother in uniform We didn't wear the same one but we were Military Brothers. You had my Respect as a person, friend and Police Officer. You surely will be missed.
