Theodore "Teddy Bear" Alexander Little, Jr.'s Obituary
Theodore Alexander "Teddy Bear" Little, Jr., age 70, of Monroe, North Carolina, transitioned to his heavenly home Thursday, December 4, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House-Southminster of Charlotte, NC.
The family would like to thank Levine & Dickson Hospice and Hospice & Palliative Care of Charlotte for their loving and tender care.
A native of Union County, born on November 28, 1945, he was a son of the late Reverend Theodore Alexander Little, Sr. and Clytie Brooks Little. He served in the Army from 1969 to 1970 and received the Purple Heart for his honorable service and for wounds sustained in combat.
Ted was a very friendly and giving person who was well known and respected in the community. We will miss you more than words could ever express.
Walk-In hours will be on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 E. Franklin Street, Monroe, NC with the funeral to follow on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon at Friendship Baptist Church by the Reverend Larry Leake. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors.
Ted graduated from Winchester Ave. High School in 1963 and attended A&T University and North Carolina Central University for three years.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Wilson, a son Bobby Gatewood, Hubert, NC, two brothers Johnny Lee Meadows of Houston, TX, and Wheeler Reece of Lancaster, SC, and a sister Rosalie Little of Charlotte, NC. Additionally he is survived by three aunts, Helen Garner of Durham, NC, Mildred Little of High Point, NC a mother-in-law, Ethel Mae Robinson of Monroe, NC and a brother-in-law, Rufus White of Florida, and sisters-in-law Vanessa White, of NY, Lovetta Horton (Larry) of Texas and a great aunt Vernelle Dade of Charlotte.
