Thelma Lucille Helms Whitley, age 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Clarksville, TN. Born on August 22, 1921 in Palmerville, NC, she was the beloved daughter of Thomas Rufus Helms and Effie Ree Russell Helms. T Read Obituary

As a child I loved seeing Miss Thelma at my families fish house when I came to eat with my family and she always loved the kids. When I was 12 and started working there, she took me under her wing and always made me feel special. When I would go visit her she always loved to show me her doll collection and she was so proud of it. She is a one of a kind. Love you and Miss you Miss Thelma.

Thelma was a wonderful, sweet woman with a heart of gold. We ate with her at Jay's for years. Loved her dolls and she loved showing them off. She will be missed. Prayers for you all.
