Terry Leitch's Obituary
Terrance ?Terry? Mauldin Leitch, age 69 of New London, NC passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home.? His memorial service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Combs officiating.? The family will receive friends following the service at the Millingport Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Leitch was born June 11, 1947 in Big Rapids, Michigan to the late Henry Kale Leitch
and Dorthas Elva Mauldin Leitch and was a retired Exceptional Children?s Resource Teacher for 32 years with Stanly County Schools.? He taught the majority of his career at North Stanly High School. ?He also worked at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. ??He was a graduate of Albemarle Senior High School class of 1965.? He attended Wingate College and was a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Masters in Special Education and BS in Health and Physical Education.? Mr. Leitch was a member of New London United Methodist Church.? He was an Eagle Scout, former Volunteer Fireman at the New London Volunteer Fire Department, former member of Richfield Civitan Club, member of Stanly County Amateur Radio Club (KA4KTU), and a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America.
He was married to the late Beatrice (Bebe) Bowers Leitch who preceded him in death April 5, 2014.? Survivors include two daughters; Lori Leitch Earnhardt of Concord, NC and Jennifer Leitch Hatley and husband Allen of Albemarle, NC, four grandchildren;
Cobin Earnhardt, Tilman Hatley, Tanner Hatley and Addison Hatley
