Terry G. Huneycutt's Obituary
Terry G. Huneycutt, 74 of Oakboro, NC passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at his daughter’s home with family at his side. Funeral services will be at 2PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Mt. Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Branan Hoover and Elder Richie Broadway officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5Pm to 7Pm Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care, Albemarle, NC. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Creek Primitive Baptist Church in care of Howard Isenhour 44097 Ridenhour Road, Gold Hill NC 28071.
Mr. Huneycutt was born July 15, 1949, in Stanly County, NC to the late William Frank and Mary Russell Huneycutt. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda Austin Huneycutt and son Terry Huneycutt, Jr. Mr. Huneycutt is lovingly remembered by his daughters; Sherry Hudson (Joe) of Albemarle, NC, Angela Clark of New London, NC, Karen Goodwin (Jeff) of New London, NC, brothers; Tim Huneycutt (Zoe) of New London, NC, Lynn Huneycutt (Mavis) of Albemarle, NC, and sister; Carole Poplin of Albemarle, NC. He is also affectionately remembered by his grandchildren; Joy Lee, Cameron Drye, Graham Clark, Terry Clark, Savannah Goodwin, Macy Goodwin, Mary Goodwin and Maggie Goodwin, great-grandchildren; Marley, Ashton, Lila, Brooke and a bonus granddaughter Brylie Hill.
Mr. Huneycutt loved being a Pawpaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but foremost he loved his Lord. He was very active in his church and loved helping others with anything asked of him. Mr. Huneycutt gave generously of his time and with his unique abilities and skillset, he could repair and build most anything. He cared more about others than he did himself.
