Terry Joe Hopkins' Obituary
Terry Joe Hopkins, 62 of New London passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. The funeral service will be 11AM Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care, Albemarle, NC with Rev. Kevin McCormac officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a private visitation.
Terry was born July 20, 1961, in Stanly County, NC to the late Lester “Bat” and Pauline Hopkins. Terry is survived by his son; Bryce Hopkins (Marie), grandchildren; Jack, Finn, and Tate, sister; Rita Stiller and nieces; Karen Russell and Connie Ridenhour.
Terry was affectionately known for quick wit and his unapologetic demeanor to have the last word. He lived life to the fullest and was most proud of his grandchildren. He loved his animals and loved being outside.
