Terry Max Almond's Obituary
Terry Max Almond, 64, of Midland, NC, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. His memorial service will be 5pm on Friday, June 4, 2021, in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Locust with Marvin Tyson officiating. The family receive friends from 3pm until 5pm prior to the service.
Mr. Almond was born December 3, 1956 in Rowan County, NC to the late Roy Lee Almond and Hazel Marie Barrier Almond. He was employed with Misenheimer Trucking in Gold Hill, NC. Terry enjoyed hunting, golfing and riding his motorcycle. He was a jokester and loved making kids smile.
Terry is survived by his wife, Shirley Jeanette Kindley Almond of the home. Other survivors include three daughters, Angela Steele (Ricky) of Concord, NC, Terri Wetter (Gene) of Concord, NC and Sherry Almond (fiancé Donnie Morris) of Blacksburg, VA; two brothers, Darrell Almond (Leo) of Stanfield, NC and Darin “Pee Wee” Almond (Tina) of Norwood, NC; a sister, Wanda Whited (Jerry) of Midland, NC; nine grandchildren, Brianna Darga, Andrew Darga, Hannah Darga, Jessalyn Long, Avan Morris, Ethen Morris, Zeek Wetter, Elijah Wetter and Wayne Wetter and three great grandchildren, Avery Brooker, Cloude Brooker and Preston Lemon (LOL). A sister also preceded him in death, Tammy Almond on February 14, 2015.
Memorials may be made to Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Locust, 501 N. Central Avenue, Locust, NC 28097 to defray the funeral cost.
