Ted Cox's Obituary
Mr. Theodore "Ted" Cox, age 55, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Levine and Dickson Hospice in Charlotte.
Graveside Services with Military Honors to celebrate Ted's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC, 28112.
Ted was born July 8, 1966 in Union Co., NC, a son of the late George Edward Cox and Vivian Sue Starnes Cox. Ted was proud to serve his country through the United States Navy in 1984 and through the United States Army in 1986. He was awarded the Army Service Ribbon and Hand Grenade First Class. A man who appreciated hard work, Ted was known for having a very cut and dry personality. Those he loved knew he meant it and always looked forward to his huge bear hugs. Ted loved to fish and also enjoyed cheering on the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Reds. Above all else he loved his family and friends more than anything. Ted will be greatly missed but his memory will carry on in all those that knew him.
Left to cherish Ted's memory include his wife of 31 years, Lynn Cox; his son, James Dakotah Cox; his daughter, Krystal Cully (Greg); his one and only granddaughter, Aubree Cully; his brother, Darren Patrick Cox; his sister, Vicki Yost; and his sister, Crystal Helms.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Beth Cox.
