Sylvia Davis Eudy's Obituary
Sylvia Davis Eudy, 79, of New London passed away Saturday May 27, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Her funeral will be at 2 PM Wednesday May 31 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service. The burial will follow the chapel service at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born January 20, 1938 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis T. Davis and Maude Mauldin Davis. Sylvia retired from the City of Albemarle with the finance department as a clerk as was a member of North Albemarle Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Eudy of the home. Other survivors include her son Gregory Doyle Eudy of Stanfield, NC, brother, Douglas Davis and wife Peggy of Albemarle, sister-in-law Shirley Davis of Albemarle, brother-in-law Robert Thompson of Albemarle, and two grandchildren Lawson and Briley Eudy. Sylvia is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Davis and her sister, Joyce Thompson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly & the Uwharrie at 960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001.
