Sylvia Armstrong's Obituary
Sylvia Armstrong "Gah-Gah" entered Heaven on February 23, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey E. Dixon and Mary Bish Dixon of New London. She was born August 5, 1946, in Logally, West Virginia.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas E. Dixon of the home; one daughter, Tammy Armstrong Gray (Tim) of Denton; two grandchildren, Casey Cranford (Brittney) of Albemarle and Jessica Cranford McCorkle (Damien) of Albemarle; three great-grandkids, Eva, Mia and Thea who were her world. ; four sisters, Sandy Burr (Bill) of Asheboro, Donna Barringer (Elwood) of Gold Hill, Kathy Swaringen (Mike) of Pauls Crossing, Nancy Patete (Mike) of Ashtabula, Ohio and several nephews and nieces whom she loved.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care, Albemarle. Her service will take place on Saturday, February 27, at 1:00 pm at Faith Free Will Baptist Church with a burial to follow
