Sybil Hearne's Obituary
Sybil Harley Hearne of New London NC passed away at her home on March 14th at the age of 87. Her funeral service will be 1 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. David Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Bethany United Methodist Church from 12 Noon until 1 PM prior to the service.
She was born in Stanly County on March 17, 1935 to the late Julius H Harley and Era H Harley. She was a Graduate of Badin High School and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hearne was a homemaker, loving wife and mother and a devoted Christian. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years John Lee Hearne Jr, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 2 sons John L Hearne (Deb) of New London, Jeffery G Hearne (Kathy) of New London, a Grandson John L Hearne Jr (Elizabeth) a Grand Daughter Wendy Napier (JJ) and 5 Great Grandchildren, Colby, Brayden, Hudson, Jessica and Noah. She is also survived by 2 sisters LaDonne Hearne and Maxine Treece.
