Steve Lee Whitley, 72, of Albemarle passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 in his home. A private family service will be held.Born June 22, 1948 in Albemarle, NC he was the son of the late Price Whitley and Rosa Barbee Whitley. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. Mr. Whitley was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church and the owner and operator of Price Whitley Nursery.Mr. Whitley is survived by many cousins and his cat, Clyde. The family wishes to express their thanks to the members of West Albemarle Baptist Church who lovingly cared for Mr. Whitley, especially his special friends Jim and Ginger Vick.
