Steve Allen Green's Obituary
Steve Allen Green, 73, of New London passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. His memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle with Rev. Ron Loflin officiating.
Born March 26, 1948 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Carl Green and Mary Moss Green. He was a Marine and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Green retired as a machinist with Southeastern Metal Products. He was a great, beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and brother-in-law. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching sports.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Fitch Green of the home. Other survivors include daughter Angel Baker (Joey) of New London and Stevie Green (Ashley) of Waxhaw, a sister Thelma Lawter of Chesnee, SC, four grandchildren, Avery Baker (Taylor), Bailey Baker, Isabella Green, and Elizabeth Green as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by sisters Agnes Bledsoe, Julie Ramsey, and Annie Johnson and brothers Junior Green and Sonny Lee Green.
