Stacy Hinson Dunn's Obituary
Stacy Hinson Dunn, 42, of Albemarle, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Horry County, South Carolina.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Bethel Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Kevin McCormac. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Born on May 7, 1984, in Stanly County, Stacy was the daughter of the late Joey Hinson and Cindy Hinson, who survives.
Stacy was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She shared 19 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jonathan Dunn. Left to treasure her memory are her daughter, Journi Dunn; her mother, Cindy Hinson; her brother, Bryan Hinson (Maggie); her sisters in law, Tracy Decker (Sean) and Melinda Dunn; her brother-in-law, Jason Dunn; her nieces, Carlee Hinson and Allee Hinson; as well as Brittney Jordan, Jodi Delgado, Skylar Decker, Ashley Alligood, Jessica Chisenall, and her special friends, Stacy Howard and Danny.
In addition to her father, Joey Hinson, who preceded her in death in 2017, Stacy was welcomed into eternal peace by those who had gone before her.
Stacy embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love. She found joy at the beach, cruising in her Jeep, and spending time with her beloved fur babies. Above all, she treasured her family and was deeply devoted to her daughter. Stacy also had a special place in her heart for the children of her church, whom she loved dearly. Her warm smile, caring nature, and ability to make others feel loved will be remembered by all who knew her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to their many friends and loved ones, and especially to Palestine Methodist Church, for the outpouring of love, prayers, care, and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stanly County Humane Society, 2049 Badin Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Stacy's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
