Siria Ramirez De Gutierrez's Obituary
Siria Ramirez De Gutierrez, 74, of Wingate, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 12, 2026. A private family visitation will be held at Davis Chapel in Monroe.
Born on August 16, 1951, in Jalisco, Mexico, Siria was the daughter of the late Magdaleno Ramirez and Juana Sanchez. She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family and welcoming others into her home.
Siria will be remembered as a woman of strength, deep love, and boundless generosity. Her home was always open to anyone in need of a meal, a place to stay, or simply warm conversation. A faithful servant of Jehovah, she drew comfort and courage from the words of Isaiah 41:10, holding firmly to her faith throughout her life.
She loved music and treasured sharing stories of her youth, bringing laughter and life to every gathering. Siria was expressive and honest—her face would often reveal her thoughts before her words did. She found joy in cooking and was always ready to prepare whatever her family brought home. And if nothing was brought, she would happily prepare a meal herself—often even a goat—ensuring no one left her table hungry.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlos Gutierrez Contreras, in 2018.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Juan Carlos Gutierrez of California, Arturo Gutierrez of California, Javier Gutierrez (Miriam) of Tijuana, Jose Maria Gutierrez (Karina) of Wingate, and Maria del Carmen Gutierrez of Tijuana; her brothers, Santos Ramirez of Puerto Vallarta and Mauricio Ramirez of Puerto Vallarta; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Siria’s legacy of faith, hospitality, strength, and love will live on in the many lives she touched.
Siria Ramírez de Gutiérrez, de 74 años, residente de Wingate, falleció en paz en su hogar el jueves 12 de febrero de 2026. Se llevará a cabo una visita privada para la familia en Davis Chapel en Monroe.
Nació el 16 de agosto de 1951 en Jalisco, México, hija de los fallecidos Magdaleno Ramírez y Juana Sánchez. Fue una dedicada ama de casa cuyo mayor gozo fue cuidar de su familia y recibir a otros con amor en su hogar.
Siria será recordada como una mujer fuerte, amorosa y generosa sin límites. Su casa siempre estuvo abierta para quien necesitara un plato de comida, un lugar donde quedarse o simplemente una conversación cálida. Fiel sierva de Jehová, encontraba consuelo y fortaleza en las palabras de Isaías 41:10, aferrándose firmemente a su fe durante toda su vida.
Amaba la música y disfrutaba compartir historias de su juventud, llenando cada reunión de alegría y vida. Siria era expresiva y sincera; muchas veces su rostro reflejaba sus pensamientos antes de que pronunciara palabra. Disfrutaba cocinar y siempre estaba lista para preparar lo que su familia le llevara. Y si nadie llevaba nada, ella misma preparaba una comida — incluso un chivo — asegurándose de que nadie se fuera de su mesa con hambre.
Fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo, Carlos Gutiérrez Contreras, en 2018.
