Sidney Brack Talbert, 61, of New London, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 in his home.? His funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in West Albemarle Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Hatley and Pastor Cla Read Obituary
My heart is so heavy and sad to hear of Sid's passing. He was such a joy to work with at the City. Always a smile, a joke, and always accommodating. There was just a special light in his eyes that made you glad to see him. My sincere condolences to the family for this most difficult loss. Peace and Love.

When we worked at wiscasset he had a skunk under his house so he set a trap caught it he had a funny look on his face I ask him if he figured out the mistake he laugh a little dropped his head and said he had a hard time getting it out it sprayed when it was caught and he couldn't get close enough to get it out. I have missed him for a long time great guy
It was hard to hear about the sudden passing of someone so full of life. When I received the phone call about Sid, my heart just sunk. I have known & worked with Sid at the City of Concord for many years. Not a day went by that we didn't joke & kid around with each other. It has been a difficult week at work & will be for quite some time to come, especially going to the warehouse expecting to see him there at his desk with a smile to greet you. But he was a good friend as well as a co-worker. You could talk to Sid about anything. He always would ask me about my mom, especially in the months before her passing in June & would always tease me wanting to know what exactly she used in her garden to grow such HUGE cucumbers every year!! He has been & truly will be missed. My wife Cyndi & I are keeping you, Paula, along with the kids & grandkids & all your family in our thought & prayers. May God Bless & comfort you all.
Prayers for the family. Sid was a great man he will be truly missed by everyone he was always nice and only had nice things to talk about. I will miss his positive outlook at the city.
Sid made the City a better place to work. He was a friend to everyone, full of jokes and kindness. I'll never forget the time he called to say the recycle bin piggy banks I ordered had arrived at the warehouse but there had been a mistake - they were all full size and there was no room to store them and what did I want him to do with them. He had me going and got a real kick out of it. His passing has left a hole in our coworker family, and we all miss him.
Paula, I worked at Wiscasset Mills and got to know Sid when he was working there and the City of Concord as well. Sid had the character and integrity that all of us should want in our own lives. He was Christian example to his family and friends alike in the community in which he served and lived. I thanks God for the privilege to have known him and call Sid my friend . Our deepest condolences and prayers to you and your family in the coming day.
What an incredible shock to learn of Sid's sudden passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Talbert family. It is truly a blessing to have known and worked for Mr. Talbert. He made the world a better place. I am going to miss him dearly and think about him often. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family and friends.

We worked together her at the City of Concord, and will miss him terribly. He has always been a good spirited man, always smiling, even when he was covered in work or hectic scheduling. Funny, I just seen him and have talked with him just In the past few days til his passing. Sid, you will be missed by me and a lot of other people, coworkers, friends and most of all your family.
