Shirley Morton Talbert's Obituary
Shirley Morton Talbert, 87, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in the Tucker Hospice House. There will be a private service and no formal visitation for Mrs. Talbert.
Mrs. Talbert was born March 19, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Theodore Jackson Morton and Noma Elizabeth Smith Morton. She retired as a secretary from E.J. Snyders and Jeffries Southern Processors. Shirley was a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church, and loved her relationship with the Lord. She was formerly a church secretary, a GA leader, Sunday School Teacher and a member of the choir. She was also a former member of the Singing Americans and a Pink Lady at Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Talbert. She is survived by a son, Ricky Dale Talbert of Winnabow, NC; three daughters, Dianne Miller (Max) of Concord, NC, Kim Talbert-Kirk (Richard) of Gastonia, NC and Amy Faulkner of Albemarle, NC; twelve grandchildren, Tera, Ethan, Thomas, Kevin, Ryan, Timothy, Travis, Erin, Tabatha, Hope, Mahalah, and Jarod and fifteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Talbert was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lewis Morton, Clyde Morton and Frank Morton.
