Shirley L. Rummage, age 72 of Albemarle, NC passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in the Bethany Woods Nursing Home & Rehab, Albemarle, NC.? Her service will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Canaan Baptist Church, Albemarle, NC ?with the Rev. Paul Pickler officiating.? Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Miss Rummage was born on October 27, 1944 in Stanly County, NC to the late Winifred Rummage and Evie Pickler Rummage. Also a brother Dwight Rummage preceded her in death. She was a loving person to all she came in contact with. Miss Rummage is survived by two brothers; Larry Rummage and wife Shirley of Lexington, NC and Stephen Rummage and wife Trudy of Concord, NC, two sisters; Dianne Crowley and husband Steve of Albemarle, NC and Debbie Rummage of Goldsboro, NC; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Rummage of Albemarle, NC.? Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the fine care given to Shirley by the staff at Bethany Woods.
