Shirley Austin Carter's Obituary
Shirley Ann Austin Carter, 77, of Albemarle passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 23, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel at 11 AM with Rev. Keith Walters officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM. The burial will take place at Fairview Memorial Park on Monday following the service.
Mrs. Carter was born December 23, 1939. She worked for Collins & Aikman where she retired after 30 years of service.? Shirley enjoyed cooking, sewing, and many other crafts including doll making. She dearly loved her family and grandchildren.
Shirley was married to the late Bobby Glenn Carter. Survivors include one son, Timothy Glenn Carter of Albemarle, one daughter, Barbara C. Blake of Norwood, son-in-law, David Eudy, grand-children, Chad Eudy, Derrick Eudy and wife Deborah, Andrea and husband Richard Lomax, Deanna and husband Jody Dennis, great-grandchildren, Madison Lomax, Richard Lomax Jr, Luke Dennis, Levi Dennis, Kaitlyn Dennis, and Landon Eudy.
Shirley is preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah C. Eudy, son in law, Andrew B. Blake, and grandchild, Alex B. Blake.
