Shirley Carroll Broadway's Obituary
Shirley Carroll Broadway, 75, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Her memorial service will be 3pm Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Delane Burris. The family will receive friends following the service.
She was born February 4, 1948 in Columbia County, WI to Dorothy Mae Kleist Cash and the late Floyd Hardin Cash. Shirley was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was never at a loss for words. Shirley loved cooking, canning, pickles, puzzles and her love for a good toothpick.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Carroll and second husband, David Broadway. She is survived by two sons, Greg Carroll (April) of Indian Trail, NC and Brent Carroll (Cate) of Black Mountain, NC; a brother, Mike Cash; five grandchildren, Tim, Megan, Nick, Madison Taylor (James) and Jacob Carroll and a great-granddaughter, Leighton. Shirley was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Cash, Jr.
