Sherrill David Russell's Obituary
Sherrill David Russell, 68, of Lexington, passed away on March 9th, 2024 at Sunrise on Providence Senior Living Charlotte, NC. His graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at Union Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Monty Clark. There will be no formal visitation.
Sherrill was born on October 29th, 1955 in Albemarle, North Carolina. He was the son of the late James Offie Russell and Carrie Mae Russell. He completed high school and went on to acquire a degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was an assistant treasurer at GMAC in Winston-Salem. Also, he was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church. Sherrill enjoyed genealogy, shooting competitions with his son, World War II history, his Chevrolet Corvettes and Starbucks.
Sherrill is preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Russell. He is survived by his son Luke Russell (Liz), of Charlotte, NC, and sister Anita R. Spitzhoff (Jon), of Concord, NC.
