Sara Aida Ferrer's Obituary
Sara Aida Rojas Ferrer, 87, of Monroe passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family on July 22, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Davis Chapel, 1003 East Franklin St., Monroe, NC 28112 with Pastor Kevin Conklin. Interment will follow at 1 PM at Lakeland Memorial Park.
Born March 31, 1937 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Juan Rojas and Maria Antonia Martinez Rojas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Heriberto Ferrer as well as sons, Jose Vargas and Johnny Ferrer. She is survived by two sons Patrick Ferrer of Glassboro NJ (nee Nancy), and Edwin Ferrer of Gulf Breeze, FL, (nee Connie) and two daughters C. Ivette Rosario of Monroe NC (nee Angel) and Denise Pritchett of Monroe NC, and sister Milagros Lopez of Union City, NJ. She was deeply loved by her 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She excelled in a career as a seamstress for many years . Her hobbies included listening to her salsa music, playing her games on her ipad, playing dominoes, reading her bible and spending time with her family. She was known as a strong woman of faith who was vibrant and full of life. Her love and kindness was felt by all who knew her. She will be remembered as a beautiful soul who loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
