Sara was born March 12, 1940, in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late Rev. Albert Myers Hinson and Mamie Plyler Hinson. Sara took time to appreciate the simple things in life and was constantly found taking care of those who needed her. A devoted mother and grandmother, Sara ensured the effort was made to spend quality time with the ones she loved. Sara cherished the relationship with each of her daughters, each having a unique bond all their own. Known as not only a mother, but a best friend, she was a great listener and always gave the best advice to those who sought her counsel.
