Sandy Weisheit Testa's Obituary
Sandy Weisheit Testa of Albemarle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Trinity Place Nursing Home.
A memorial service to celebrate Sandy's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at New Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Richfield, officiated by Rev. Jim Allred. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Born on June 13, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, Sandy was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Kermit Weisheit and Evelyn Anita Pfaffle Weisheit. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Sandy found her greatest joy in being a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving home where family was always the center of her world.
A faithful member of New Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Sandy's unwavering faith guided her through every season of life and served as the foundation of the kindness, grace, and love she shared with others. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Memaw." Whether gathered around her table for one of her delicious home-cooked meals or simply enjoying time together, Sandy found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and steadfast devotion to her family will be remembered always.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, John Testa. She is also survived by her daughters, Jeannie Cheuvront and husband, Dennis, of Mableton, Georgia, and Jennifer Gibson and husband, Alan, of Albemarle.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Nathan Cheuvront and wife, Joy, of Kennesaw, Georgia; Courtney Lake and husband, J.J., of Lilburn, Georgia; Andrew Gibson and wife, Sara, of Richfield; Luke Gibson and wife, Kensley, of New London; and Rachel Gibson of Charlotte.
Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren, Ty Cheuvront, Alexis Cheuvront, Olivia Cheuvront, Carson Lake, Callie Lake, and Jack Gibson, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Sandy will be remembered for the love she poured into her family, the strength she found in her faith, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her life was a beautiful example of selfless devotion, and the memories she created around her family's table and in their hearts will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration.
