Sally Mae Griffin's Obituary
Sally Mae Tucker Griffin, 75, of Wingate passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in her home. Her funeral service will be at 2 PM on Friday, October 14, 2022 in the Davis Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Wingate Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Service on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born December 15, 1946 in Union County, NC, she was the daughter of the late George L. Tucker Sr. and Frona Wiley Tucker. She worked for many years as a barber with her husband at Griffin's Barbershop. She loved to cook and enjoyed gardening and sewing in her younger years.
Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Devoy Griffin. Survivors include children Gary L. Griffin of Monroe, Steve M. Griffin of Monroe, and Sharon A. Griffin (Shaun Grantham) of Monroe, two sisters Faye McCain and Betty Sparks both of Monroe, and one granddaughter Mariah Griffin.
