Mr. Russell Kerby Garland, age 62 passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his home?in Albemarle, N.C.? No services are planned.? The family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Mr. Garland was born July 31, 1953 in Stanly County, N.C. to William H. Garland of Albemarle, N.C. and the late Doris Yuvonne ?Dood? Russell Berry and was a graduate of North Stanly High School.? He attended Central Piedmont Community College. Mr. Garland was Brick Mason working with Chad Parker Masonry.? He was a huge drag racing fan and a participant.
Survivors include his life companion, Krista H. Burris of the home. Two sisters Kim?Garland Smith and husband Richard of New London, N.C. Christie Garland of Mint Hill, N.C. and step-mother, Monica Garland of Albemarle, N.C.?A brother George William Garland preceded him in death November 7, 1976
