Roy Lee Huneycutt's Obituary
Roy Lee Huneycutt, Jr. 70, of Locust passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 3PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Locust Cemetery officiated by Rev. John Lindsay.
Roy was born October 17, 1951 in Stanly County to the late Roy Lee Huneycutt, Sr. and Lilly Talbert Huneycutt. He enjoyed woodworking after he retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. Mr. Huneycutt attended Poplin Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle and enjoyed spending time with his family. His pride and joy were his grandchildren.
Mr. Huneycutt is survived by his wife of 49 years Nancy Broadaway Huneycutt; son: Wesley Huneycutt (Jaime) of Gastonia,NC; daughter: Jessica Croson (Rick) of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren: Jillian and Jayleigh Huneycutt, Mae and Zeke Croson; brother: David Huneycutt of Linwood, NC. He is preceded in death by brother Kenneth Huneycutt and sister Joyce Currie.
