Rose Talbert Lowder's Obituary
Rose Delores Talbert Lowder, 85, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Rose was born on September 1, 1940, in Stanly County to the late Gene and Hazel Talbert.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Beth Lowder Yarbrough (David) of Mount Gilead; her son, Troy Lowder of Albemarle; her grandchildren, Crystal Nance (Dylan) of Asheboro, Lacey Phillips of Mount Gilead, Taylor Pletcher (Chase) of Concord, and Clay Yarbrough of Mount Gilead; her cherished great-grandchildren, Rain, River, and Reed, and her brother David Talbert.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Gene Lowder, who passed away in April 2026 and her sister, Kathy Deese.
Rose was a strong-willed and fiercely independent woman who never hesitated to speak her mind. She enjoyed following the Atlanta Braves throughout every season, watching her favorite daytime soap operas, traveling whenever she had the opportunity, and was a devoted Elvis Presley fan. Her spirited personality and unmistakable presence will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ladies of the McDonald's Breakfast Club for the friendship, care, and support they provided to Rose over the last several years.
Though Rose has departed this earthly life, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
