Rosanne Marie Freytag's Obituary
Rosanne Marie Freytag, 71, of Marshville, passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2025. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
Born on October 19, 1953, in Buffalo, NY, Rosanne was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Anthony Siragusa and Levia Anselmi Siragusa. Over the years, she touched many lives through her work in childcare at the Monroe Aquatics Center and through her warm, welcoming presence as a hostess in several local restaurants. She was a member of North Union Church of God in Mint Hill.
Rosanne had a zest for life that was reflected in her love of music and dancing. She cherished the freedom of the open road and spent many joyful days riding motorcycles alongside her late husband, Charles Freytag. Above all, Rosanne’s greatest joy was her family. She found her deepest happiness in the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Freytag, in 2007, her daughter Cynthia Freytag Richards, and her brothers Richard and Robert Siragusa.
Rosanne is lovingly survived by her children: C.J. Freytag of Kannapolis, Richard Freytag and wife Veronica of Marshville, and Toni Privette and husband Sonny of Charlotte. She will be dearly missed by her six grandchildren—Shane Freytag, Catlin Richards, Parke Richards, Kendall Richards, Luke Freytag, and Hannah Freytag—as well as her two great-grandchildren, Paislee Freytag and Maverick Freytag.
Rosanne’s vibrant spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her will be remembered always.
To honor her life, memorials may be made to a health related charity of the donor’s choice.
