Ronnie Allen Smith's Obituary
Ronnie Allen Smith, 73, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Atrium Health Stanly. His funeral service will be 2pm Saturday, September 9, 2023 in the Wesleyan Church, 33713 Mann Road, Albemarle, NC 28001, with Rev. James Valk officiating. Burial will follow in the McRae Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 6pm until 8pm.
Mr. Smith was born February 21, 1950 in Montgomery County, NC to the late Jerry Allen Smith and Juanita McRae Sweeney. He was a member of the Wesleyan Church. He was a jack of all trades, master of most. His hobbies included woodworking, building cabinets, building street rods and stained glass. He loved animals. He worked as an Electrician for the NC Department of Corrections prior to his retirement.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Mandy Smith of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Aimee Smith (Darryl Kight) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Melissa Smith (Michael Sheehan) of Del Rio, TN, three sisters, Kay Roberts, Jean Warner (Steve) and Kristie Weatherhead (Keith); sister-in-law, Shannon Mabe and special friend, Terry Morgan.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his brother David Wayne Smith (Sharon) and his sister, Ann Smith Hudson.
