Always remember Roger with a cigar. Sympathy for the family and friends. Keep all the good memories in your heart and he will be with you always.

We will always remember our old fishing buddy and the good ol days we had together. We all use to go down to Holdens beach and fish on the pier all day and all night. Roger would be over there chewing on a cigar. He would lite it up take a drag then let it go out andjust chewon it. He was a good fella i dont recall ever seeing him get mad. We have alot of good memories with ol Roger.

Roger and I were never running mates but I always thought of him as a good friend. I never saw him angry. Once, in high school, we made a small wager on the World series. I lost in 4 games. I moved away from the area after my stint in the Navy was over in 1970 and I wondered about Roger over the years. to his family and friends, you have my deepest sympathy. Lewis Upchurch
Roger was a good man. I knew him from Boy Scout Troop 82 in Albemarle.
Roger liked his cigars. He use to go fishing with my daddy, uncle and grandpa. Now he is walking the streets of gold and probably fishing.
