Robert John McCabe, 69, of New London, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. His funeral service will be 6pm Friday, October 21, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel of Albemarle with Rev. Read Obituary
I worked with Bob for the past several. He was a friend and a pleasure to have known, and as a co-worker Bob was always ready to help. He will be missed.

Dad and I had a rocky past, but we seemed to work things out. Unfortunately, 3 years ago, dad and I had a fall out that we never cleared. Time got the better of us both. Living within 5 miles of my dad, my inherited stubbornness and hardheaded thinking kept me from returning to make amends to the issues between us. We will never be able to fix what was broken. I didn't agree with him most of the time and at times I didn't like who or what he was, but he was my dad and I loved him. In reality, we were so much alike yet complete opposites. It hurts more than I ever imagined it would. So many "what ifs". I love you dad. I regret our distance over the past 3 years. I pray you can forgive me for not trying to mend our relationship. I'm sorry.
