Robert Lee Mauldin's Obituary
Robert ?Bob? Lee Mauldin, 87, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. His service will be Sunday, October 16, 3 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle with Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 PM till 3 PM prior to the service. The burial will follow the service in Fairview Memorial Park.
Born August 31, 1929 in Stanly County, he is the son of the late Crawford Mauldin and Willie Davis Mauldin. Bob was a self-employed masonry contractor and later retired from the City of Albemarle as a Water Treatment Plant operator. Bob is an Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.
Bob was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and served as an inactive Deacon. He was always finding ways to stay busy as well as going fishing. Bob loved his family dearly.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carol Dick Mauldin who passed in 2005. Mr. Mauldin is survived by his three daughters, Susan Mauldin Leslie (Robert) of Albemarle, Sandra Mauldin Constable and fianc? Robert Ward, and Stacy Mauldin Almond (Kevin) of Richfield. Other survivors include two sisters, Kate Little and Connie Poplin, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Mauldin and Walter H. ?Pete? Mauldin, and one sister, Mary Alice Hudson.
