We met Earl when we moved from South Carolina to Charlotte and Hector went to work at Cermet Inc. Hector learned almost everything he knows from Earl. Earl was a father figure for him and he taught him how to work. Thank you Earl. We love you and we'll need forget you and Edie and your family. Rest in peace until we meet again.
I remember working with Earl at Cermet and all the things he taught us. When we moved there from South Carolina, my husband Hector and I didn't know much of anything as far as work. Earl taught us everything we know about how to operate equipment like Zero turn mower, mixers, forklift trucks, painting and much more. He could do everything and anything. He literally taught Hector how to be a man. He was a father figure to Hector and we're so happy that we had the opportunity to be a part of his life for some years. Thank you Earl. You're remembered and continue to be talked about as we go through our daily lives. We can never forget you because we did have good times. We love you Earl. Rest in peace.
One of the greatest people I have ever met. Earl worked with us at Lorillard and later ITG Brands doing repairs on boiler refractory as needed. He was always willing to provide an assessment of the refractory condition on short notice and provided that service at a fair rate. We saw him as an extension of our staff and ITG boiler room family.
He was notorious for bringing bakes and preserves for us , courtesy of his wife. I mean who does that these days, he and his family were so thoughtful in the things they did over the years.
I think I speak for the entire staff at ITG when I say we have lost a great friend and share in the family’s grief with his passing.
