Robert Albert Bowers, II, 63, of New London passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.? His funeral service will be 3:30 PM Monday, November 20, 2017 at Prospect Baptist Church with Pastor Stoney Benfield officiating.? Burial will follow in the New London Cemetery.? The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 until 3:30 prior to the hour of the service.
Born September 24, 1954 in Rowan County, NC he was the son of the late Robert Albert Bowers Sr. and Maggie Belle Fraley Bowers.? He worked as a Truck Driver and was of the Baptist Faith.? Mr. Bowers was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and a faithful friend.? He loved to play the guitar and he loved fishing and hunting with his grandchildren.
Mr. Bowers is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Tina Shoemaker Bowers.? Other survivors include daughters Miranda and Rodney Fraley of New London and Alycia and Chris Cole of Richfield and seven grandchildren Kayla Cole, Blake Fraley, Spencer Fraley, Garrison Fraley, Garin Cole, Chloe Fraley, Maggie Cole.
