Robert "Bob" Stephen Morrison's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Stephen Morrison, 89, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle.
Bob was born in Tioga County, New York on May 19, 1937. He graduated high school in Vestal, New York. He was on the wrestling team, and he was an Eagle Scout. He then joined the Navy serving on the U.S.S. Coral Sea. Bob retired from the US Postal Service having been a letter carrier for 30 years.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Otho and Myra Morrison and one grandson, Eli Bowman.
He is survived by the love of his life, Linda, to whom he was married for 66 years. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Morrison as well as three children Lisa Bowman, Steve Morrison and Jayne Nunn, six grandchildren, Travis Bowman, Charlotte Waterhouse, Zach Bowman, Caitlin Bertrand, Tessa Johnson and Marlaena Morrison.
Bob enjoyed traveling, camping, growing Christmas trees, hunting, ballroom dancing and volunteering. He and Linda had the distinct opportunity to travel to all 50 states.

Bob will be remembered for his faithful service to his country and community, his adventurous spirit that carried him across the country, and the joy he found in sharing life’s journeys with those he loved. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
