Robert Ray Andrews' Obituary
Robert Ray Andrews, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, February 20, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing Center in Albemarle.? His funeral will be 11 AM Thursday, February 25, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Walters officiating.? The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the service at Stanly Funeral Home.? The burial will take place following the service at Plyler Baptist Church cemetery with military rites by the Stanly County DAV.
Born August 17, 1921 in Montgomery County, NC, he was the son of the late James Alexander Andrews and Julie Elizabeth Russell Andrews.? He was retired from Wiscassett Mills Co. and a Veteran of the US Army serving during WWII.? Mr. Andrews was a gun collector, a hunter and a western magazine collector.? He also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include two nieces, Sandra Scholl and Phyllis Huneycutt of Albemarle.
