I was very blessed to have Rick in my life. He was like a dad to me when I was younger and we never lost touch. He was so thoughtful and always kind.
Rick was a great friend and consummate musician. I have many fond memories of writing, recording and performing with him in The Brubakers. I will definitely miss his jovial personality and tasteful playing.

Rick was the nicest, most pleasant guy anyone could know. I am so glad I got to see him many times through the decades.
I have many fond memories of Rick. Although I left Albemarle in 1991 we remained in contact throughout the years. He will always be in my heart.
I graduated with Rick from NSHS in 1981. I use to hang out with his sister Rhonda while in high school. Rick was one of the nicest, most humble guy that I went to school with. Sending my thoughts and prayers for the family 🙏
Rick and I were in the band together at North Stanly. He was the sweetest person. He will be so missed.
