Rickey Dale Morton, age 60 of Albemarle, NC passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 in the?Carolinas Medical Center-Main, Charlotte, NC.? His service will be 2:00 PM Monday,?May 30, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Walters officiating.? Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle, NC.? The family?will receive friends on Monday afternoon from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the hour?of the service.
Mr. Morton was born November 1, 1955 in Stanly County, NC to the late Rev. Levi?Edward Morton and Geneva Edna Hatley Morton.? He was credit manager for?Homeway Furniture and was an avid NASCAR Fan.?Survivors include a son;? Michael Anthony Morton and wife Amelia, daughter;? Tara?Morton Poplin both of New London, NC; one brother Keith Edward Morton of Florida?and two grandchildren, Summer Elizabeth Poplin and Ashley Nichole Poplin.? One brother Ruby Glenn Morton preceded him in death.
