I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was truly a Godly man!
To the family of Pastor Joe Smith
Some years ago I was blessed by God to write this poem . It has brought me peace and I hope it will you.
A COVER. OF. GRACE
This cover of Grace
It is by God spread
It eases the suffering
Of the dying one's bed
It is the comfort needed
To help complete the course
This Grace is the sustaining power
Until they hear The Master's voice
Then when the suffering is over
And their race has been run,
They'll hear The Saviour say
Your work on earth is done
So leave this blanket of Grace
Come home to be with me
And we will live together
Throughout eternity
TO God Be The Glory
I remenber Joe coming in Bobby' room at the hospital room two years ago. We did not kknow what was wrong. But Joe lightned the mood and gave so much comfort. WE love him and your family.
A great man of wisdom and will be missed
We don't have the words to express our sorrow. We have prayed for that miracle but know thatJoe is healed now and in the loving arms of Jesus.Joe was such a Godly man and an inspiration that it hurts to give him up. Our prayers are truly with you .
Joe was such a special man; a true servant of God, a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a friend to many. We send all our love and prayers to the Smith family. We will keep you close to heart and in our prayers. May God's grace give you comfort and peace during this difficult time.
For the entire family of one special man of God, we will always remember the sweet spirit of Joe and how he served God and His people. Know that you all are in our prayers at the time and for the days and weeks ahead. God has gained a real special angel. We are here for all of you anytime. We love you in Christ .
From my first day at Atrium Health Stanly and everyday since if Joe was in the facility he made a point to come by to ask me if I was causing trouble! I never saw a day where Joe didn't have a smile on his face and that is a smile I will truly miss seeing. Joe was there for me when I need him the most, he was there for my team when we lost a fellow teammate and recently when I lost my grandfather. I never had to ask Joe for kind words or support, he just always had a way of knowing he was needed and showing up. My heart breaks over the loss of Joe but I know he is in his heavenly home watching down on us all.
Joe's passing is such a great loss for the community. He did so much for so many. Truly a friend to all. Joe was special to us. Performed our wedding ceremony in 1986. Prayers for his family now and in the days ahead.
A kind and gentle spirit has has returned home. Lorraine know that Joann and I send our condolences to you and your family. You have been so kind to share this man with the community and what an impact he made. May you find comfort knowing the wonderful impact you, Joe and family have made and that this knowledge helps you deal with your loss. With our prayers.
