Rev. Charles Edward Bowers of Albemarle passed away Tuesday,December 18, 2018 in Atrium Stanly.? His funeral service will be 3 PM Friday, December 21 2018 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Pastor Preston Young, Pastor Nathan Hammi Read Obituary

I am so sorry for your loss. "Preacher" meant so much to my husband. They were big fishing buddies and he was such a great influence on Ed. Ed will be so happy to have "Preacher " with him in Heaven.
He was such a sweet man. Called me "Honeycutt" because Amy called me "Jane Honeycutt" when she talked about me. Always smiling and loving and kind. God led him to start up Sweet Home Baptist Church and if you do not have a church that would be a good one to attend. I met him when playing for a wedding there. He told me that Amy needed Forever Young Retreat and he told Forever Young Retreat that they needed her and that has been a blessing for us, so over the years I had the pleasure of seeing he and "Miss Toot" many times, and I treasure those times. Thinking of all of you during this time of saying goodbye in the earthly way and looking forward to saying "hello" in Heaven one day. All the time God is good. God is good all the time.
So sorry for your loss. God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand HIS wisdom. We just trust His will in our lives.. Prayers for your family.
