David and Brian, so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of both your parents over the years. In my adult years there were times our paths would cross and your parents always felt like home to me.

David and Brian, so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of both your parents over the years. In my adult years there were times our paths would cross and your parents always felt like home to me.
Bryan and David, Paul and I were traveling past Albemarle and I looked up your Father to find this news of his homegoing. What a precious man, your heritage, who also helped establish ours as he sacrificially walked with us through Paul's recovery at Mt. Calvary.
Our condolences . With love in Christ, Christie and Paul
Brian I am so sorry to see this. Your dad married my husband and I 32 years ago when we were at Mt. Calvary. He was a lovely man. Prayers for all of your family.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who posted here with your thoughts and remembrances. The family is saddened by his passing but also joyful with the knowledge that he is with his Lord and Saviour, that his mind is fully restored, and that he is with my Mom.
If you were able to attend the graveside service feel free to post your thoughts here. We will hopefully be releasing the date oh his memorial service in the near future.
i was truly blessed to help with his care with home care many years ago your mom and dad made me feel so welcome in their home i saw him in the hospital when i worked there also they were amazing people with so much love to share God Bless You All
He was a fine man and always had a smile and an encouraging word for everyone. I worked at the church many years ago as a part-time secretary during the hours my daughter was at play-school at First Presbyterian. He and Elaine were two of the finest people one would ever want to know. I still remember sharing "Pride O' Pumpkin" cake with them in their kitchen. Sympathy to David and Brian.
Reverend Alexander will always be in my heart for his commitment to Stanly hospital. He made sure patients were offered communion. Such a great community leader, pastor to the community and genuine love for God. You are missed.
I had the privilege of attending Second Street Presbyterian from 1974 to 1981 . Reverend Alexander and Elaine were family..He certainly looked after his congregation. He married Stephen and I in 1981, sending condolences to his family.
Rev. Alexander was such a wonderful man. I grew up going to church listening to him and he was so wonderful when my father passed away. Condolences to his family.
Loss of a great friend. Many good conversations and good fellowship shared together. Rest in peace buddy?!????????
