Reece Jennings Hinson's Obituary
Reece Jennings Hinson, 82, of New London passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in CHS Northeast Medical Center.? His funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Monday, November 7, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dolan Humphries officiating.? Entombment will follow in the Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care on Monday prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:30.
Born April 29, 1934 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late Sam Hinson and Mattie Hudson Hinson and was a retired textile employee with E. J. Snyder.? He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.? Mr. Hinson was a veteran of the US Army Reserves.
Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife Frankie Hinson of Albemarle.? Other survivors include son Reece Dale Hinson of New London, sisters Alleain Morton of Albemarle and Jerlean Eggleston of Greensboro, as well as 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.? He was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Faye Mensing and Linda Sundon.
