Reece Eury's Obituary
Reece Eury, 73, of Oakboro passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in Morningside Assisted Living, Concord, NC.? His funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Branan Hooven, Elder Ritchie Broadway, and Elder Mitchell Phillips officiating.? Burial will follow in the church cemetery.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 5 until 8 PM where the body will remain until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the hour of service.
Born July 30, 1942 in Stanly County, NC, Mr. Eury was the son of the late John Vites Eury and Clemmie Louise Huneycutt Eury.? Mr. Eury retired from Alcoa with 28 years of service and later retired from Michelin.? He was a member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church.? He was a member of the 25 year club at Alcoa and also was formerly a scout master for many years with Troop 210 in Oakboro.
Mr. Eury is survived by his wife, Sarah Tucker Eury of the home.?? Other survivors include son Russell Todd Eury and wife Angelica of Red Cross, daughter Amy Eury Ott and husband Greg of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren Courtney Taylor Ott, Chandler MacKenzie Ott, Brittany Leigh Eury and Vites Tr? Parker Eury.
