Ray Van Price's Obituary
Mr. Ray Van Price, age 71, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Corinth Baptist Church, 3805 Corinth Church Road, Monroe, NC, 28112.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC, 28112.
Mr. Price was born on July 18, 1944, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late Marcus Bennett Price and the late Lena Helms Price Raymond.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Paula Price Pittman; his brother M. B. Price; and his sister Irene Swinson.
He was a retired machinist with many years of dedicated service. He was also a US Army Veteran and in the Reserve.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Squires Price of Monroe, NC; two daughters, Kathy Newland and husband, Chuck Newland of Marshville, NC and Sandra Smith and Reverend Jeff Smith of Marshville, NC; a son, Anthony Eudy of Monroe, NC; a sister, Kathleen Blythe and husband Ray Blythe of Monroe, NC; a sister-in-law Rita Price of Monroe, NC; a brother-in-law Joel Swinson of Monroe, NC; three grandsons Wesley Rape of Monroe, NC, Joshua Rape and wife Melanie Rape of Monroe and Hilton Smith of Marshville, NC; two granddaughters Brooke Clemmer and husband David Clemmer III of Marshville, NC and and Olivia Pittman of Heath Springs, SC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday (March 22, 2016) from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church, prior to the funeral ceremony.
