Ray Edward Mesimer's Obituary
Ray Edward Mesimer, 72, of Norwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Tucker Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
No formal services will be held at this time.
Ray was born December 13, 1953, in Newport News, Virginia, to the late Bobby and Loretha Mesimer. He is survived by his siblings, Wanda Mesimer of Albemarle, Bobbie Hatley of Albemarle, and Michael Mesimer of Norwood.
He is also survived by his nieces, Carrie Hatley, Taylor Burleson (Sean), and Leeann Mesimer; and his great-nieces and nephew, Naylen Hetland, June Lee Burleson, and Indy Mae Burleson, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Ray was an independent man who lived a simple life and found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Tucker Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for the compassionate care and support shown to Ray during his declining health.
