Ray Haney's Obituary
Mr. James Ray Haney, age 85, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Ray Haney will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Faulks Baptist Church, 2234 Faulks Church Road, Marshville, NC, 28103, officiated by Dr. David E. Richardson. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Saturday June 15, 2019, prior to the funeral ceremony at Faulks.
Mr. Haney was born on October 19, 1933, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late James Curtis Haney and the late Ruth Helms Haney. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Barrow.
Ray was employed by Union Memorial Hospital, now Atrium Health-Union, as Director of Materials Management with 47 years of dedicated service. He was also very involved in Faulks Church as a former deacon for many years and treasurer for 33 years.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rachel Williams Haney of Marshville; two sons, Donald Haney of Marshville and Steve Haney of Marshville; two daughters, Gina Haney of Marshville and Melea Haney- Killough of Marshville; and a sister, Teena Haney of Marshville.
