Randy Glen Spivey's Obituary
Randy Glen Spivey passed away peacefully at home on July 8th at 1:30 am after a long fought battle to cancer. Randy was 54 years old.
Mr. Spivey was born in Norwood on May 29th, 1966 the son of Fred and Marlene Spivey. He graduated from South Stanly High School. Being a lifelong lover of cars, Randy and brother, Brian owned Spivey's Autoshop in Albemarle. He also was known for his many achievements in derbys and racing all over the state. He was a loving husband, brother, father and friend to all that knew and cherished him. His smile and humor could light up any room. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby and Scott Spivey, sister Rebecca Burris, son Randy Jr Spivey, and daughter Kristi Spivey.
He is survived by his wife Lea Spivey of Albemarle, daughter Stacy Gafford and husband Kevin of Lincolnton, son Chris Spivey of Albemarle, and Aaron Spivey of Albemarle, a brother Brian Spivey of Norwood, six nieces and two nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held 11am at Stanly Funeral and Cremation of Albemarle on Friday, July 10th with a viewing beginning at 10 am and graveside burial to follow at Centerview Baptist Church. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or donations can be made to Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care, PO Box 207, Albemarle NC 28002.
