Ramson Reece Smith's Obituary
Ramson Reece Smith, 83, of Locust, passed away on Thursday,
February 7, 2019 at his home. Funeral service will be held at 3PM on Sunday,
February 10, 2019 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Locust, NC
officiated by Pastor Brandon Bowers. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30PM prior
to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hatley?s Grove
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro, NC.
Born February 11, 1935 in Stanly County, Mr. Smith was the
son of the late Autie Bell Lambert Smith and Roy Shorty Smith. Ramson enjoyed
going to the lake to fish and was a member at West Oakboro Baptist Church. One
of his greatest loves was spending time with friends and family especially his
grandchildren.
Mr. Smith is survived by his sons Brian Smith (Penny) and
Tony Smith (Kathy) both of Locust; grandchildren Cody Smith (Carolyn) of
Oakboro, Jerika Smith, Adina Green, Shelby Green, and Bailey Slate (Charlie) all
of Stanfield; great-grandchildren Savy Smith, Sage Smith, and Callie Slate;
sisters Marvene Hinson of Locust, Doris Carpenter of Peachland, and Diane Smith
of Raleigh. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Arlene Harris Smith; brothers
Gene, Larry, Clifford, Jerry, and Keith Smith; and sister Leora Osbourne.

the Uwharrie at 960 N. 1ST Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
