Ramelle
Lefler Burleson, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday January 6, 2019 in her
home. Her memorial service will be 1 PM on Thursday January 10, 2019 in the
Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care Chapel of Albemarle with Rev. Joe Smith
officiating.
Ramelle was
born November 7, 1930 in Stanly County, NC and was the daughter of the late
Houston Lefler and Lula Sides Lefler. She was a retired employee of Richfield
Manufacturing. Mrs. Burleson attended Kendalls Baptist Church and she enjoyed
reading, gardening, doing puzzle books and fishing.
Mrs. Burleson
was preceded in death by her husband John Clifton Burleson on November 12,
2010. She is survived by two sons M. Wayne Burleson of New London, NC and Jerry
D. Burleson of Albemarle, NC; daughter Pat Leonard (Perry) of Badin, NC; a
sister Joyce Roberson of Albemarle, NC; 7 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Ramelle was also preceded in
death by a brother Bob Lefler and two sisters Betty Drye and Lillian Lisk.
